Donald C. Hilbert, Jr.- Managing Director
Don Hilbert is responsible for accounting and financial reporting, treasury management, prospect due diligence and portfolio oversight. Don has over 30 years of experience in finance and investment banking, including a focus on M&A and capital raise transactions for companies in the specialty finance and financial services industries.
During 2007 through 2015 Don served as the CFO for Flock Financial, a specialty finance company he was instrumental in creating. The company, capitalized with $50 million in private equity and commercial debt, provides capital for the subprime consumer finance markets as well as for debt buyers of distressed and subprime consumer credit obligations. In this capacity, Don was responsible for underwriting prospective clients and investment opportunities, performance oversight and client relationship management in addition to overseeing the treasury, accounting and risk management functions of the company. Don sold his interest in the company in March 2015.
Prior to creating Flock Financial, Don was the VP of Corporate Development for Worldwide Asset Management for 3 years. Worldwide, one of the 10 private purchasers of distressed assets, was sold to West Corp. in 2004 in a transaction lead by Don. Don has held senior financial roles in various companies as VP of Finance and Controller for two start-up entities and a publicly traded company. Don also has a substantial background in M&A, serving as the lead executive for acquisition and divestiture activities of BellSouth Corp. Don began his career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen as an Audit Manager in 1984 through 1992.
